Can someone point me to the IETF definition of an AR?

I suspect I'm getting needlessly confused because I don't share the
same definition of AR that some people have. I.e., an AR is the
counterpart to an AP, and in this context, both are associated
specifically with wireless links.

Or, is an AR (as used here) just the default, first-hop router an IP
device is using?
