[DNA-BOF] Work list Proposal
Hi All,
Here is a suggested workplan.
All of the dates are to get initial revisions,
so we may need to modify this for the charter
to reflect deliverable dates.
At this stage, I've just adopted a
4 step process for each of the tasks:
IPv4 Attachment Detection,
IPv6 Attachment Detection,
IPv6 DAD optimization.
1. Define a problem statement (this may
require describing existing systems)
2. Determine Requirements
3. Define Base Specification
4. Define Further Optimizations (may revisit 2).
I guess Link-Hints would have a document
cataloguing available hints (although we
stillhave to discuss this on the list),
and then one on using Link-Hints to aid DNA.
We'd probably not describe Link-Hints in
the base Detection documents.
The idea is to produce small documents,
even though there are lots of tasks defined,
which means we have to understand the problems
before moving to requirements or solutions
(or we'll get bogged down in requirements
shifting later)...
Smaller documents will make the review process
easier too.
Please tell me if you'd prefer a different method,
so that we can work that in.
Of course if we don't get people interested in
writing so many documents, the system won't
work either (or the deadlines may be too optimistic).
