I think what we are aiming here is cataloguing (i.e., surveying) current L2
hints. As I was saying at the meeting, this is the bottom part of the
picture.
At the same time, we can also consider (not in this document) what kind of
L2 hints are needed/useful for DNA. This is the top part.
Hopefully the top and the bottom will readily fit. The glue between two is
the abstraction of the hints. DNA should define how an abstract hint can be
used in making movement determination. DNA should also provide sufficient
guideline in terms of defining the abstraction, such that link-layer people
would know how to implement them.
Yes, eventually the L2 hints abstractions can be regarded as requirements to
link-layer in order to support enhanced DNA, but otherwise this document
should not be a "requirements draft", imho.
