[DNA-BOF] BoF Session at IETF 58.

Hi,

We've just completed a last call on the charter
(date passed on tuesday) and I've just asked the
ADs to have a look at it.

The current charter is available online at:

http://www.ctie.monash.edu.au/dna/charter.htm

I don't think we can reasonably expect any action on
the charter before IETF58, so I've requested a second
BoF session to be scheduled during that meeting.

At this stage, it would be good to determine
what should be cocvered by the BoF at the meeting.
That way that we can quickly submit an agenda before
scheduling.

Maybe if we're quick we won't get a friday slot this time.

Here's my first pass:

We don't have to go through the entire concept of
DNA again, since we did that at the last meeting,
so I guess that we could do OK with a shorter session.
Mainly I think we'll be trying to provide an update
on the work in progress, and get some focus for the
next period (when we may be looking at chartering
the group).

At this stage, I think it may be useful to
discuss each of these DNA related Drafts:

* Detection of Network Attachment (DNA) in IPv4
        (Bernard Aboba) DHC WG Draft
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-ietf-dhc-dna-ipv4-03.txt

* Detecting Network Attachment in IPv6 Problem Statement
(JinHyeock Choi, Greg Daley) undergoing submission.
http://www.ctie.monash.edu.au/ipv6/draft-jinchoi-dna-dnav6-prob-00.txt

* IPv6 DAD Optimization Goals and Requirements
(Soohong Daniel Park, Youn-Hee Han, Greg Daley)
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-park-dna-ipv6dadopt-requirement-01.txt

* Parameters for Link Hints
        (P. Bertin, T. Noel, N. Montavont)
http://www.ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-bertin-hints-params-00.txt

Additionally, there's ongoing work by Carl and Spencer
to develop a DNA terminology reference, but that may not
be available on the I-D's site before the cutoff.
It may be worthwhile to discuss that too.
(to be available at):

I'd guess that a short presentation
followed by discussion would take
about 10 minutes each.

We'd have about 5 minutes for agenda bash and intro,
and about 5 minutes leeway (not much).

If I've missed something, we may have to juggle things,
(and possibly go for a different session length).

Please indicate if this is seen as valuable,
and especially if you're listed in the
potential presenters, whether it is feasible.

Please also indicate any 'enemy' sessions which we
should not schedule the meeting at the same time as.
(my current guesses are:
ipv6, mip6, mipshop, mip4, send, dhc, zeroconf, magma).

Your responses are greatly appreciated.

Greg Daley
