[DNA] Waking from the DNA slumber

Hi everybody,

We've had a deathly silence on the list up until now.

DNAv6 Goals.
------------
As you can see though, work has been going on with internal
reviews of the DNA Goals document.

Please have a look at this, and provide comments.

JinHyeock will now be transferring from his role
as author to that of editor of this the WG's first
document. He'll be doing issue tracking, and
may help to craft text.

That said though, if you find a problem in the
document, please try to stick with an issue until
we have text.

So if you're interested in getting this to the IESG
close to the deadline, we'll need to get reviewing,
and help to resolve the issues as they arise.

DNAv4
------
Also, Bernard has done a good job getting the
DNAv4 spec ready for last call in DHC Working group.
Please read this document, and make contributions
if you think they're needed.

There's a really good summary of resolved issues
at:

http://www.drizzle.com/~aboba/DNA/dnaissues.html

If you're a newcomer to DNAv4 (or haven't been
tracking it for a while), checking there before
making comments may help to maximize your
contribution.

Reading the document is likely to be a good
bootstrap for those contributing to the DNAv6 BCP
and the DNAv6 protocol enhancements, since it
will provide a good background on common issues
like reachability testing and change discovery.

Finally, please make sure that the comments go
to dhcwg@ietf.org.

For DNA WG specific issues, feel free to post here,
but please ensure that discussions of issues not
relevant to the DNAv4 Last Call don't pollute the
DHC list.

DNA BCP.
--------
At this stage, Sathya, Nicolas and I are working on the
DNAv6 BCP, which is taking shape. We won't keep you
waiting much longer, but it's a bit hard to determine
exactly when that will arrive (soon).

We'll probably submit the -00 version without the
appendices on (experimental) predictive/candidate DNA
techniques. These will follow in a subsequent version.
